Description
Handmade bowl 14cm diameter with lines engraved around lip. The item is made and donated by Greg Ghavalas of West Pennant Hills. He uses the finest Australian wood including Camphor Laurel, Bimble Fox, Flame Rosewood, Sydney Blue Gum, Liquid Amber, QLD Silky Oak, Mango Wood, Coach Wood, Snake Wood and sometimes unknown wood found in wood piles. Wood is porous and changes in humidity and temperature can cause the bowl to expand or contract. This can change the shape of your bowl – in some cases making the bowl “une ouvre d’art”. To take care of your bowl, just wipe gently with a damp cloth and on occasion when the wood looks lacklustre, polish the bowl with bees wax or neutral polish.
